Joyce Kilmer Elementary School hosts LivingWorks’ on-site academic programs, including in-class and after school tutoring. All participants in these programs are Kilmer Elementary School students. LivingWorks’ staff communicates on a regular basis with Kilmer teachers and receive referrals for the After School Program in order to connect with students in need of academic support.
Living Water Community Church: LivingWorks grew out of the Living Water Community Church After School Program, and the church continues to provide LivingWorks with classroom space, financial support and a place to share our story in community.
Loyola University Community-Based Federal Work-Study Program: LivingWorks hires around 25 tutors each semester through this program and is able to maintain a high tutor-student ratio through this valuable partnership.
DePaul University Steans Center for Community-Based Service Learning: DePaul students complete their service-learning placements with LivingWorks during the fall and winter quarters serving as tutors and helping with additional projects as needed.
Northwestern University’s Civic Engagement Certificate Program: Northwestern students have served LivingWorks as administrative interns, curriculum developers and tutors.
